Online Gambling Company 888 Holdings acquires Social Gaming Company Mytopia From Real Dice For $18M

Internet gambling company 888 holdings has acquired social games developer Mytopia from Real Dice. Mytopia is a cross-platform social game solution developed by Real Dice co-founded by brother-sister Guy Ben-Artzi and Galia Ben-Artzi.

888 holding bought Mytopia at a base price of $18 million apart from additional payment which will be calculated based on the net profit in 2011. In all the total payment which will be paid to Real Dice for Mytopia is capped at $48 million considering $18 million base price and 2011 profits.

888 holdings will get 12 Mytopia games from this buy which will help them to expand their business in multiple online game platforms and smartphones. The games are platform independent so they can be played on any mobile whether it is iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile or any other OS platform.

With this buy 888 holdings will also get Mytopia technology that allows developers to write code once which can be immediately distributed and syndicated to various smartphones and mobile operating systems.
